Warm and Sunny

A warm and sunny day here in Sask. so I took advantage of the nice weather to load up some oats to put through the hammer mill tomorrow. Gave the new (to me) John Deere a little exercise pulling the hopper wagon around through the snow.

Yes it has been nice, sounds like the weekend is going to get miserable. I'm surprised at the amount of snow you have Rusty. The fields here are mostly bare.

A bit bare here too but with the rolling topography there are snow drifts on the sheltered sides of the hills. Hilltops are bare and dry. This photo was taken in a bushed in area where the wind does not blow the snow away.

how did the new john deere do rusty? nice day here as well, yesterday and today, supposed to get back to winter starting tomorrow snow and colder.

The 2140 did well. A bit of wheel slippage in the deeper snow when I got the load on the wagon but no trouble getting where I needed to go. It was only in the high 20s so the snow was not super slippery. Working on some video now.

(quoted from post at 19:47:01 02/28/18) Did you fill that wagon? How on earth did you pull it out of there without chains?
Not full but I'd guess a good 100 bushels of oats, maybe more. Not all that heavy and no need for chains. Just engage clutch, step on foot throttle and drive.
