I know there are alot of dog lovers on here. any good names for this female

She looks a lot like my Springer, Abby. Before her I had Springers Molly and Maggie. Abby was put down in November, my next one I think may be Sally...

I named mine Max, but the first few years he was called dumbazz. He was the most destructive pup you have ever seen and had no fear, hence the nickname. He's 7 now and never leaves my dad's side.

My pup now is Dolly, her predecessor was Tators. Tators came from a guy at Potato Creek South Dakota. My old male was Squeek. The wifes dog is Dude, and we have had a Cinch. She was a female healer.

should have known better than ask for more names. Now we'll have more names to not agree on.

9 children and me and the wife couldn't agree yet, so Please keep them coming

Thanks.
PS this is the first colie that I am going to try to train for my sheep. She seems very smart and comes from real expensive parents.
Mother was $5000
father $1500
The people that bought them didn't have a clue what they were doing and sold all the pups for $200 each. The mother got sold back to the breeder and they kept the father.

1)kona---- means lady in Hawaiian. 2) nala--- means gift. 3) coco. Because of the black. All of these are the wife's ideas. She loves the picture.

Lady Elisabeth Winston III That was my wifes dogs name before it committed suicide. 2nd. thought, maybe it wasn't so good.

Thinking Molly would be a good name.... Funny name would be K?nay.... just say that out loud like you are serious and everyone will have a good laugh.

Sorry, was too busy earlier and didn't see this.

It would help if we could know a little about the dog's personality. Shy and quiet? Inquisitive? Snoops around everywhere? Is it energetic?

Going only by the information given, the wife and I kinda like the name [i:e8e80d3902]Penny[/i:e8e80d3902]. Pup is from expensive breeding, but you got her for a lot less. Kinda suits.

If she turns out to be a really good dog, could then call her your [i:e8e80d3902]Lucky Penny[/i:e8e80d3902].

We had a Border Collie when I was growing up my sister named Anna. She was undoubtedly the best companion dog I have ever been around. Had to have her put down 25 years ago and that was the only time I shed a tear over losing a pet.

Now if it had been up to me I would have named her something like Fred or Ralph, course if it was a male Sue hands down but that's just how I roll.

That isn't very adventurous! I heard of a bloke here in Oz that named his sheep dogs after members of the Sri Lancan cricket team.

Our border collie was Lulu. My sister said when she grew up we would change it to Lou. Apparently she never grew up. Best dog we ever had, and probably the longest lasting.

If you are going to use her around cattle you will want to keep it short.
Make sure you don't pick a name that sounds similar to any of the curse words that seem to get blurted out when handling livestock.

We have a border collie we named ''Pup'' for this reason.

we have a collie mut mix.

his name is Duke. I call him dipsh#t or dumb-dumb.

not a bad dog at all.. just goofy and dumb.

I wouldn't be in a big hurry, Give her a week and something will settle on her. Last year we got a couple of pups. Millie's name came right away, Mistah came about a week and a half in, after we just fell into calling him mister which got mush mouthed into Mistah1
