Anybody know the bore & stroke of the V type engine?

If it?s the dt360 my bearing book says it?s 3.875x5.085.

Oops that?s the inline engine! My book don?t show a V in a 360.

John the DT 360 is an inline six Turbo ,5.9 liter. The V8 is a 9.0 Liter 551 Cu in. natural aspirated. I have one of each.

That is a 300 series engine and not a truck engine. The 360 was the standard school bus engine for a while> IH had 2 different 360 engines. What displacement was the little V-6 diesel?

Sorry, I can't help you on that,I have never seen a V6 International diesel. They also made a 6.9L 420 cu in and a 444 7.3L V8s. Those are the only others that I have worked on.

964 to 1970 International trucks came with a Detroit diesel 6V - 53N , it had a bore / stroke of 3.875 x 4.50 , could this possibly be the engine you are referring to ?

O. K. Here is what I was looking for. A man has a IH tractor with a broken crank. It has the 300 series 360 cubic inch engine, (3.875 bore X 5 plus inch stroke) He can buy a D360 truck engine and wanted to know if the crank would fit. We ran into this several years ago and we found the bore & stroke were different than on the 300 series engine and the bearings were similar to those on a DT 466. IH did have a V type engine for school buses for maybe a year? In fact they had one with 2 turbos but I think that one was a prototype. ANY how thanks for your help.
