Looking for opinions as I might buy one to replace a pasload one. Are they any good do they work ok? These are 20volt I guess Are there other battery powered ones? Dewalt seems to be it around me. Thanks for any imput.

I have not tried a DeWalt yet so I can't give a review of them. Is your Paslode beyond repair? I have used one of these for many years (at least 20) and only had to replace the circuit board once. Repairs can be cheaper than buying a new one if it has not been totally trashed.

No pasload is in good shape but it is tempermental and finiky to say the least. IT is one of those gas fired ones.

I have had a Paslode for many years also. I have disassembled and cleaned it several times. I am beginning to believe that the problem is not with the gun, but rather the gas cartridges. Sometimes they seem to go bad before the expiration date. I don't know exactly how the gas goes bad in a cartridge, but trust, me it does. Someone smarter can probably explain that. Sometimes, the date doesn't seem to matter. You can fight the gun all the time with a bad cartridge, the next one works great, and you never have a misfire.

My Paslode is gas also. I bought it because I was tired of dragging 100' of air hose up on a roof or second floor on a large building. As long as it gets cleaned from time to time it has never let me down.

I have one and used it regularly on inside projects framing walls and eTc. I remodel for a living so any major framing like sheathing and roof framing I use air. I was surprised at the power it has and it was very handy except after about a year of easy use it quit working. It was out of warranty and I took it to dewalt service center and they said it could cost up to 200$ to fix, I assume circuit board? Not sure if it is worth fixing. By the way I have a Paslode gas nailer and liked the dewalt better when it was working.

Will cause carpal tunnel issues also. Had a friend that uses cool framing nailers. They are awkward to work with. Bulky and heavy and yes he had the wrist issue . I hate heavy nail guns. I would rather drag a hose .

We have 3 paslode gas guns and after a few thousand shots you have to clean them. We bought a DeWalt 20 volt framing gun when they 1st came out and love it. Paslodes hardly leave the trailer anymore. Not uncommon for us to shoot 2000 3" galvanized nails a week building decks. ( Floors are screwed down) gun just keeps shooting. Do not buy cheap nails!!!!! Paslode nails work great. Bump trigger is major selling point. And I've been told the guns have been improved and are cheaper than when I bought mine.
