John Deere 60 skid steer

Does anyone know if parts are available for a John Deere 60 skid steer? I'm looking at buying one but I don't want a lawn ornament. Thoughts?
Thanks!

I started there and called up our local dealer. Parts from JD are hard to come by for these. Looking for aftermarket parts or people that own one to see what they do for parts.
Thanks

I believe the 60,90 and 125 were all the very first skidsteers that John Deere came out
with. I majored the engine in a 90 in about 1982 for a customer and it was old then. About
15 years ago I was wrangled in to going through a 125 for a customer, I located and bought
a complete machine and dismantled it for parts in order to get the parts I needed for the
repair, and rebuilt and fabricated what I couldn't buy.

my advice is if you don't own machine shop equipment for proper rebuilding of parts and
have an extra machine for parts just buy something way newer.

The more research I do the more I think I should leave it alone. Is there any other older machines that you can get parts for? Or should I just spend extra money and buy newer?
Thanks

Aren't they an Owatonna Machine Company (OMC) skid steer painted a darker shade of green? You might want to go that direction for parts availability.

I used to work with a guy who bought one new in the 70's. He said his loader tractor went down, so he sent it to the dealer, and they sent a skid steer to him for a loaner. A week later, his tractor was fixed, but he told them to keep it because he was keeping the skid steer!

We owned one. FInd a better, newer, loader. They are underpowered, and little faster than a pitchfork. Parts available or not, there is better technology out there.
