This tractor/grader was sold yesterday at a Kansas auction for $1900. Had never seen one like it. The tractor was a MM model U.

Thanks for the pic, Double07. I didn't get a picture but there was actually a loader bucket on the front of this one. I had seen similar setups with a IHC M, but not with the MM. That would be a really neat piece to have operational.

Darn I would sure have given that or more for it. I have been looking for a smaller grader like that for the last few years. That one is even hydraulic over manual like the Ford Dearborn and AC road patrol ones.

Looks like a good copy of American Road Machinery made in Mississippi . They were fairly common , most made on IH M tractors. I have one here with cab , looks almost like that one. Full hydraulic. Unit is complete but has not ran in years and would need hoses and rubber replaced. If anybody is interested guess I would sell it as I am never going to get around to fixing it.

Plenty of power to grade a road or something like that. Would take no more power than that rear blade that you cannot get rid of humps with. Now to get to heavy work like building the road then possibly a bit weak to take a heavy cut but could always set it to cut less.

They were built on most of the brands of Ag tractors of the time. There is a thread on a Ford8N Dearborn on the N forum right now. Young fella Old has an AC Road Patrol that he maintains his long driveway with. A friend who I didn't know at the time had one that was built on an Oliver 70.
