Old equipment

I was talking to a man yesterday. That is planing on going around the county. Pulling out old equipment and selling parts. I know this county is full of old stuff. Just wonder how much of a need there is for it.

That is the plan as I understand it. Will offer to clean up the land. For the equipment. Believe me some of these people need to clean

There a few places like that around here, but very few. Of those that do have old machinery just setting, that machinery is NOT for sale. The owners have plans to use it again someday. It will set right there until the estate sale.

His business model is likely to be 80% scrapper and 20% resale of items.

Out here in my part of Tx theres still a bunch of cotton stuff around, mostly wagons and bedders. Strippers and module builders are on the way out. Tractor mounted strippers are gone. Few older combines setting around, too hard to move.

There was a guy over East of Pleasant Hope, (maybe down around Marshfield), a few years back that considered a deal with an outfit connected with Hollywood, to collect up a bunch of old stuff like that to use for props. gm

Gary I use to work with a movie equipment company. We called those guys the prop squad. Those guys could come up with anything you needed.

Might be surprised to find that old worthless stuff is not for sale. Mine isn't. And if I had neighbors they'd think my place is a mess.
