Does anyone have a pre-1949 Kohler 4 cyl generator?

I have a couple of Kohler generators K1A21. My intention is to restore one of them to museum quality, show it, and then give it to a museum later. I could use some advice as I restore it. I have torn the better of the two down, cleaned and painted some of the parts. I do not plan on getting in any hurry. I would appreciate any advice I could get. Thanks. Email is open.

Go over to Smokstak. We have a section over there just for Kohler units. Doesn't cost anything and you can get what you need. Plenty of guys willing to help.

Thanks. I check it sometimes, but they are not nearly as active as YT.

Yes things can be slow. But that is the only place I know of.There are not many that collect old Kohlers. Even though they did build some fine old machines.
