Just wanted to thank y'all for your help along the way,

She's 99% done.

PS to Tim The Plow Man - Thanks for the tip on the fuel line.

WOW mike that is an awesome restoration, nice to see the detail and finish, how many hours do you estimate you have in that tractor mike my guess would be hundreds. love the JD. in the intake! that happens a lot

Sure looks sharp, bet your going to enjoy showing her off. Thanks for posting

I'm thinking part of the 1% is the fabric covered wire to the rear lights that went in the little clips under the transmission cover bolts. At least our 8N had that.

I got vintage fabric wire loom from Mac's in Buffalo NY.

Nice looking tractor.......Curious that toy John Deere's are the most common make of tractor you see in those precleaner jars of every other make of tractor, Actually they get more free recognition and advertising than any other make and now there's apparently more of them in use than all the other makes taken together. I guess that's because now they are seen everywhere in one way or another.......

Thanks. I?m not very savy with new tec stuff. That?s why I just read and let the grand kids and wife handle communications.

Very cool! Keep her maintained and look forward to spotting you at future shows. Ford/Fordson coming this year to the Albert City Threshermen & Collectors Show, Albert City, Iowa, August 9-11, 2018. Not nit-picking, just giving some friendly tips/advice here: If striving for originality, Lug Nuts were not painted. They were cadmium plated. Also, you may be running too many lights and the generator/charging system may be taxed beyond capabilities. Two headlights, a taillight, and one worklight used on occasion, pretty much puts your system at max if using the 20 amp generator. I notice the rear lights are Tract-O-Lite headlights as well so, no ON/OFF switch like what the 8N-15500 Implement Lamp has, I assume when the switch is 'ON' all the lights are therefore ON. Four 6-volt sealed beam lamps at 35 watts each can tax the charging system alone. When you run all the lights, what does your AMMETER read? Your angle mount model should have the bigger generator. Just saying, but your tractor, your choices.

Tim. I have not started the wiring yet but I thought I might put the two work lights on a separate switch. As for originality I started off with that in Mind but got side tracked some where along the line. It has a few other items that aren?t original, (but give me time and money to correct) lol

Beautifully done! I am about to finish up my own project so now have a deep understanding and appreciation for the effort, time and dedication it takes to get the beautifully restored tractors you see on this forum from time to time....yours being the most recent example. Congratulations.

It does take a lot of work, dedication, time, and a lot of new words I
can?t print. Iol but it?s all worth it in the end. And fun. Something else
that is most important is an understanding and supporting wife. I think
mine is the greatest. She now knows where all the scrap yards in
south Texas are located, and she can spot an n tractor with just the
fenders sticking up above the weeds in a farmers field. Lol

My wife ask me when I bought it what it was. I told her it was a
money pit. She laughed. She now knows I wasn?t telling her a story
