Finally Got chains For The Loader

I use my pickup for plowing, but when the banks get too high I have to push them back with the loader. I've been putting off getting chains for it, but with all the ice under the snow this year I broke down and got a set - I little pricey, but they make all the difference in the world
Now if I could just find a cab with glass, I'll be all set..

Ten years ago I borrowed a friends JD 744 loader to push back snow banks at church. It was raining at the time, and it was tough to keep it moving far enough into the pile to get to where the fronts were on the dry ice under the banks.

Tire chains for the rear wheels are expensive. I'm surprised to see tire chains only on the front axle. Is the front drive line strong enough for that?

There's not a lot of room between the tires and cab on the rear, so I thought there might be some interference issues with them on the rear tires.
The driveline is pretty stout - I've watched guys at work turn on dry pavement with a bucket full of dirt in four wheel drive - really makes you cringe, but I've never seen one give out. Also, I'll only be using it when things are really slick, so I don't think they will ever get enough traction to damage anything in the front driveline.
