Newholland 1320 4x4 front wheel froze

I have a 1320 4x4 that one of the front wheels is froze and will not move, what could cause this to happen,it's a hydro trans.

Probably a chipped a tooth off of a gear or a ball from a bearing that has come apart. Stray piece falls
down into the other gears, jamming things up. I have seen this type of thing numerous times, and always
on a compact tractor.

Same thing happened to our JD 5410.
Turned out one of the gears inside the
hub broke. Bits and pieces of the
gear jammed and locked the wheel up
solid.

Used to run into this a lot. Final drives are not checked with the dipstick in the axle housing. Final drives only hold a pint or less. Customer would bring it in locked up, and say "it was dripping a little, but it stopped so I thought it had sealed up". If you don't have a service manual, go on to New Hollands online parts book to see how it goes together. 1320 and 1520 use the same axle so finding used parts shouldn't be too hard.
