Kinze 2000 6/11 - are wheels a problem for beans to emerge?

On a Kinze 2000 or 3000 6 row planter with 5 push/splitter units up front the transport wheels must drive over four of the rows of beans the push/splitter units have planted. I currently have a John Deere 7000 with 5 splitters on the back. No wheels run over any newly planted bean seed. Have a chance to buy a Kinze 6/11, but sometimes wonder if my planter might actually be better. If there isn't really any issue with running over the seeds then I don't have a problem up grading. I just know that sometimes on the end rows seeds have a problem emerging when the tractor/planter wheels "pack" them in. I am sure when it is dry there isn't much of a problem. I don't know if I would like wheels packing the beans in if it was a little tacky. Some of my soils are a little plastic at times - fine textured clay. Anyone have any experience with soybean seed emergence with a Kinze splitter????? Thanks.

After I posted I found several comments on other sites. One guy says the emergence is 20% in the row ran over verse nearly 100% in the rows that do not get ran over. Another said you can drive up and down the roads in the spring and determine who uses a Kinze splitter as the fields look like they were just about planted with a 30" row planter. Just trying to determine what I want to do. My Deere 7000 6 row with 5 splitters works pretty well. A little hard to work on and negative tongue weight, but it works great. Storing one planter would be a bonus.

We have been using a Kinze 2000 6 row planter with 5 pusher units since around 1998. We have never had the problem you are describing

One thing to keep in mind is there is a lot less pressure on those tires when the planter is on the ground than when it's lifted Turing on the end. I think the row that is planting in the tractor tire track especially if your tractor is heavy, that is probably the worst but you have that either with push or pull splitter type planters.

We've had a 2500 8/15 center pivot planter for years, we plant all no till beans with it, and have never had a noticeable difference in stand behind the wheels, good machines.
