way off topic: coppertop kid

All,

It's been a long time since I've seen this young man, so if you know what I'm talking about, well you've been here a while and your memory is good.

I got a visit out of the blue. I've known this buck for a good while. He used to drift in and out like a dried oak leaf as a kid. I am guessing that mostly he wanted somewhere to be, sometimes to have a soda, sometimes to have me help with a repair.

Now most of the things he wanted me to repair weren't worth the time, and now I'm pretty sure he could do the fixes himself, but to me it was an enjoyable time chewing the fat and hearing of his tales.

I have the time and tools.

I am happy he drifted in again.

I was thinking about you & him awhile back. Glad he stopped by again, you must have made a positive impression on him. We never know what kind of impression we'll leave on someone. Keith

Onefarmer is right, continue on. A positive influence with wisdom can help that lad tremendously. BTW I remember coppertop. gobble

(quoted from post at 19:51:45 02/08/18) I remember you post, glad he showed back up
Growing up I frequented a few of the neighborhood farms. They always were glad to help with a project and I learned a lot and helped them when they were older. One of them I went to work for at about 12 years old. He was a millright and his driveway was lined with scrap metal and other junk.
I guess what I was getting at is hopefully he will help others and you someday.
