Going through some old photos from 2005 and
came across these. Rubber tired steel wheel.
Like past projects, no need for it and had a
chance to sell, so long gone.

it only had one identifying tag , a number and name, both of which I have forgotten. I tried the internet for info and somewhat traced it to a manufacturing plant in Ohio then the trail ended. very heavy made, rear axle was a 1 inch thick solid steel bar enclosed completely in a metal housing with no suspension. boy did it ever ride harsh, bone jarring even on sod. friend I bought it from dad ran a military surplus store in cullman, al during the 70's and he knew nothing about it. by the time I got it there was no trace of paint left. as in most projects I recouped my expenses but labor was chalked up as education.

Beautiful work. Warehouses used to pull orders and stack merchandise on those "carts" and as one got full they added the next one behind it. When they completed the job of pulling the order they had the entire lot on a "train" of carts they would then pull to a shipping area to be counted and unloaded into a trailer. Since now most freight is shipped on pallets that practice has about disappeared. gm
