801 Ford Tractor

He claims it has wet clutch and should be in fluid, I think he has a issue with either weep hole or seal problem but he refuses to bring the tractor to me for repair.

As OLD mentioned; left factory with a dry clutch and will work best dry. Eventually it may end up with a wet clutch.

Well I have owned an 801/841S for decades and I have replaced the clutch in it at one time and yep dry clutch but one does need to make sure the cotter pin drain does not get clogged up or it will cause major problems. We got this 841S back in the early 80s and it even came with the owners manual.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. If this guy thinks he knows more than you, let him keep his tractor. When it stops moving he'll come to you and ask why.
