Case 8430 gathering wheels

I posted on here a quite awhile back looking for a set of gathering wheels for the Case IH 8430. Well I didn't get any results so I bought a set off a Hesston. The arms are straight so the wheels would run wrong. The brackets are with the wheels but I believe they are the same as on my baler. Just wondering if anybody has a set on their baler that they could tell me what angle they are bent from straight and how much tilt the wheels have. I'm thinking about 30 degrees from straight and tilted about 10-15 degrees should make them operate ok. Fabrication is no problem and I could probably mount, cut and weld to get what I need this spring but sitting here watching the snow & passing the time. Keith

What model Hesston were they for? A Case 8430 is a 4X4 baler, I think. That would make it the same as a Hesston 540.

They are supposed to be off a 540 and I haven't tried the4m yet but they sure don't look like they will fit without some modifications. That's why I thought someone might have a picture or could give me the dimensions. The dealer I bought them from swears they are off a 540 but he and I checked them on an 8430 he ha on his lot and it sure don't look like they will fit without some mods.

Thanks a Bunch, I went to the parts page you suggested and found the arm the wheel fits on and connects to the baler IS bent at what looks like about 20-30 degrees as I thought it should be. So what I was sold is not off a 540 but one with a straight arm. Once I get the baler out this spring I should be able to remove the arm and heat, bend and temper it so it will work OK. It also shows me where the bend should be which I needed to know. Thanks again, I've been looking for a Case IH 8430 diagram but hadn't found one. Keith
