3 weeks ago the hay stubble was sticking up out of the snow, been shoveling and plowing every morning since sv. took his blade off  will head out this afternoon as the snow is supposed to quit around 1:00 pm. with the case and get us and the neighbors plowed out. hopefully get some more pics of casey with the HLA blade on.

Love the hat on that bird house!

We've been getting less-than-normal snow for several years now, and this year is no exception. Still have the frozen ground and still covered in white stuff, but ....well, for example, the TOTAL of the last 2 snowfalls has been about 1/2".

Usually by now we have twice as much. This past Spring/Summer, it seemed to rain all around us, but our normally-swampy area nearly burnt up. Been weird weather for sure!

If you ever figure out how to turn that snow, send it this way, to the intersection of Minnesota and North Dakota. We could use more of that white insulation!!

Bird house turned into a church! LIKE! We don't see snow piled up like that here on the plains of northwest Iowa because the wind is always blowing.

We live in central Ia. When the weather people report 2-4 inches, that translates to a two-three foot drift at the top of the driveway and around the building in front of the shop. Bare grass in many places as it all blows so much here. Rarely get snow with no wind. gobble

(quoted from post at 12:46:21 02/03/18) Holy cow it?s been raining here steady if it was snow
we?d probably have that much to
this is dry fluffy snow sv. you would have to melt a 5 gallon pail to get enough to make a pot of coffee  we got 12" in the last 24 hours and had about 6" since I last plowed so had about 18" to plow here at home and did 7 of my neighbors. 6 hours plowing time, it go's pretty quick with the 8 ft. HLA blade.

(quoted from post at 12:47:02 02/03/18) Isn't the snow load on that bird house a little too much???
actually bwillet the bird house was engineered for heavy snow loads, same 1 to 1 slope as our swiss chalet house  when I saw that this morning had to take a picture looks pretty cool.

ok guys the wife and I made 3 short video's today of the case out plowing snow so if you want to watch them go to google and type in "case 1845c with 8ft. HLA blade plowing snow" and you will find 3 short 20 to 30 sec. video's we posted, still learning the youtube video world and trying to figure out set up a link on my post to the video's

(quoted from post at 08:47:26 02/04/18)
thank you for putting the address links kcm, now how did you do that? I need to learn how it's done so can post the links for future videos, still learning this whole youtube thing

Don't know if it makes a difference, but I use Modern view. Simply highlight a link in your post (one at a time) and then click the 'URL' button.

There's another way of doing it also, where the link doesn't show up, but a linked word or words will. Haven't yet figured out how to do that. Kinda prefer this way though, as it's easy to see where the link will take you before you click it.
