Tractors in the culvert

I got some dirt moved an the culvert put in the hole. To much mud to do much more. Tried to put dirt in it but I think some gravel is in order.

Thanks. It's needs some work but still runs and drives. Can't afford to keep them all on the road unfortunately.

Back to the topic at hand, it looks like the culvert is going to work out well for you. Is it long enough to hold more than one tractor? Are you planning to enclose the ends somehow?

Looks like some gravel might work out better than that muddy dirt, as you mentioned.

It is 20 feet so a couple small tractors or maybe a couple tricycle. I may enclose the ends and add on to one of them or I may just put a wood stove in one end. For now that's probably it.

(quoted from post at 14:02:15 01/23/18) must be a '79 with the square headlights.
That one is a 78. Only made that style 78&79.
Water and Oliver's go through culverts Arlen. It's a $150 shed so far. Dont think I could build one for that.

(quoted from post at 11:55:52 01/23/18) Yup, the wifey would go nuts over it. She loves older Bronco's.

I was thinking many years ago of buying one. My wife said that she would have to paint a few of her front teeth black in order to drive it.

That old girl has hauled a lot of stuff home. Went and got my 3010 about 50 miles away with it. That was one I probably shouldn't have tried but it made it.

at least it's somewhat working for you. If I were you I'd let it dry some then dump your gravel on or you'd end up in the same position.

It's sitting down lower than the dirt on the outside.when it dries up a bit I will level it out and probably put some gravel on top. Also have thought about finding a trailer frame. Do a little fabrication and put a wood floor in it.

Ollie looking at the picture you have here the ground looks like it slopes uphill at a good angle and continues sloping downhill on the other side. I was thinking a shallow trench or (we call them swales) above the culvert and going around each end to direct the rain and snow melt away from the culvert? I'm thinking a heavy rainstorm would float your culvert out of the hole it's set in and possibly roll it down into the shed on the right if the tractor was not parked in it.

I will have to put a drain around it and gravel it. It's been pouring here and it has water sitting in it. It is about the same level as the pump house..I don't think it's going anywhere.
