Changing oil on everything with a motor on it. Changed a few batteries. First time Ive changed the battery on my JD 4700 utility that I bought about 2000. I guess 18 years is a good run for the original battery. On the other hand changed the batteries (2) in my 2016 JD RSX 869i Gator. So only 2 years on those. I also cleaned and repainted the battery boxes on both.

I made a driftbreak too, along a road that continuously drifts. It's hard to tell, but the drift I pushed back along the road was after one night with a mild wind and an inch of snow, and it's about 3' high. When we get measurable snow and wind, it gets plugged up pretty deeply, in a hurry.

Mostly barn chores and keeping up with snow blowing farm meetings and hockey. Started working on the hay equipment today though. I like to have it all ready before winters over so I can give it a thorough look over.

I need to get my baler and swather and mower ran through my non existent shop this winter as well baler needs to be made to run and swather needs a few bearings

I need some new batteries for the 4020 got a couple 1100 cca batteries that are brand new but I will need to make a battery box for them to fit it

This fan went through the radiator and it?s been straightened with a crescent wrench so it is not in the best shape when I washed the radiator out earlier this summer I sprayed water on the side screens and it sucked the water through the side screens and then through the radiator so I?d say it must be on the right way

I told my Yankee helper Wednesday night if the roads were bad in the morning nuttin here that had to go I got "I KNOW HOW TO DRIVE IN THE SNOW" reply... I told him its the other folks on the road I am worried about... He did not show up today its payday the first payday he missed in 7 years he made it even if he only worked on payday

I got the brakes shoes off my f350 everything cleaned and ready for the parts that I will have to pick up no delivers are running because of the weather...

Thats a damn heavy light fixture!

Yeah for sure! About 235 pounds when done. It will have a arm cantilevered out from the column a little over 10 feet long. Inside the arm is 8 feet of LED lights and lenses. Architects!

Back to this project that I started a few years back. It got sidetracked when I started on an addition/remodel project. I'm going through the driveline on this one and will combine it with the other one I have and hopefully make one good machine that will last a good long time.

went out on a service call this morning to r & r a magneto on a 1965 Lincoln welder at our local ray agro dealer, they are our local esso bulk farm dealership, fuel, oil, fertilizer etc. nice to be handing them an invoice instead of a cheque! its where I buy my oil, grease, good people to deal with. spent the afternoon working on the pto shields for my Ih-100 mower, straightening them, cutting off mangled tin (looks like a u joint blew up on it years ago) sanded them down and primed. weather great here today, +2 or about 34 f. we call it Miami beach weather up here! tank top and shorts  kidding. supposed to be heading for our usual - 20 to -30 next week so we'll enjoy it while it lasts.

sv a question, what kind of paint do you use on your molboards? looks like a flat black and how quick do's it scour off when you start plowing? iv'e been told not to use primer as it will take forever to clean up.

Turkey, your reply reminds me of my dad's saying "I started with nothing and I've still got most of it." And for the record, I didn't do much of anything today either.

Used the Case IH kind last time it was in a quart
can had to brush it on this was in an aressol can it
Is made to paint plow moldboards with ir scours
clean in about 200 feet not a speck of paint left and
moldboards are bright and shiny

thank you sv, will look up till guard and see where I can get it localy, check with my case/ih dealer. i'll pic up enough to do my plow and disc and the shovels on the cultivator as I use them and get them shined up. taking a 1/2 hour to clean and paint them when your done with them will save you hours of grief the next time you need them.

Yes it's nice to not have to worry about scouring plow bottoms it
can be a real pain stopping every round to dig the dirt off it
took me two weeks of plowing to scour the bottoms on one once

Just use the cheapest odd lot type of paint you can find in spray can. 500 feet and it is off and shiny.
