Another farm accident

Just saw on the local news that a man in the Portland area of Meigs County Ohio was picking corn with a single row picker and attempted to unplug it with the PTO engaged. He was pulled into the machine. He was airlifted to a hospital so I don't have any info on the extent of his injuries. I'm not going to comment on anybody doing something that they know they shouldn't because I know we've all done that. But we've lost too many farmers to things like that. Prayers for him and his family, God knows they are going to need them. Keith

Had that happen around here recently . The person caught in the picker made two cell phone calls while it had a hold of him. You would think that people would learn ?
When emergency response showed up, at least one person puked at the sight . http://www.independent.on.ca/site/?q=node/4863

Just heard awhile ago, he's going to make it but don't know anything else. This young man was at my house last year and looked at a tractor I had for sale. He works pretty hard in summer as a mechanic at a dealership and puts up a good bit of hay in summer so I have a lot of respect for him.

Wow, picking corn in this weather! Must be a tough dude. Our prayers for a quick recovery.
