hydraulic multiplier question

There is a sprayer that has a 3-spool hydraulic multiplier on it so you can control both wings and the boom lift with a tractor that has just one outlet. Will it work on any tractor such as 4020 with closed center system as well as on a modern New Holland tractor?

Fossee makes electric controlled valves that do what you're telling about. It doesn't matter if it is open center or closed center. All it does is move a spool and changes which set of couplers it uses.

If the sprayer is built within say the last 10 to 15 years and this is part of the original equipment I?d agree with Gary. Also if it selects the function by an electric switch I?d say yes as well. If it looks added on and you move a lever to change functions it may require more investigation.

Multipliers work with both open and closed center hydraulic systems. They allow you to select between one circuit or the other or both at the same time depending on how many valves are in the multiplier block. The one your talking about has three valves in it so you can operate either one, two,or all three hydraulic cicuits that are plumbed into multiplier block at the same time with one spool depending on how it is wired.I'm assuming the one your talking about has solenoids that control the valves in the multiplier block.Google Summit Hydraulics for more info.
