Had to go into this site to get a container. Going in went fine, but when I was in there I blew a hydraulic line. So I was on the way out to get the line fixed, but couldn't make this corner. If the line was ok I would just pull the trailer wheels forward to shorten the wheel base to make this corner, but it was a main feed line so no way to move the axles forward. Took the better part of an hour jockeying around to get the rear of the trailer over far enough to get pastthe tree. This is a fancy lake neighborhood too, so no leaving marks on the tree.

You can drop it, but then the lines are too short to back up to it, you have to back sideways to it to hook up. I should make some jumper hoses for that.

When I was backing down hill into a logging site with a load of erosion stone, I got into ruts that pulled me into a tree. I pulled up twice but to no avail, I could not get out of the ruts. I had told the property owner who ordered the stone that I needed to have the timber skidder there available to pull me out up the hill after I dumped, so he was right there. I had him pull me sideways as I backed up in order to get off that tree. After dumping I had the skidder driver go first and then I started up the muddy hill. With the rears fully locked the old girl surprised me and just walked right up the hill out of there with the skidder operator having to pour it on pretty good in order to keep ahead of me.

I got into a deal like that in Montana once I worked for Kenworth and delivered the new ones to the dealer piggyback 3 at a time once I had to deliver to a farm the guy said he has had semis in there in the winter. well after he had to cut down 2 good size trees and pull me up hill with a dozer I got his truck unloaded the trip out was easy

This is the kind of stuff that makes a professional driver like you a professional. I'm not knocking OTR drivers I could never survive the hours of an OTR driver but when you get off the big road and into the boonies you need a new set of skills.

From the looks of those mail and paper boxes, not too fancy.

Shux , Wheres a good 1070 or a DC when YA Need It !!, Jon ,..if i was there with the Ol DC ,I would Just hook achain to the tail end of your trailer and just drag scoot it sideways as you nursedthe truck back andforth to get away from the tree ,.. with the 1070 and a heavy enuf chain ?//Why hale ! , I Would Take the 1070 and pullthe tree up roots and all and set it rite back where it came from after You Got Thru There ,..

Make some dunage to fit against the trees. a coupe of upright 2x, then 2x12 at the level where the trailer would rub. It will cussion the tree as the trailer slides.
