Looks like I am going to get a GMC from a neighbor that bought it last summer in Texas. No rust anywhere. Underneath is like it came from the factory.
Was wondering if I should have it under coated and if so what brands are the best to use.
I am in Rusty Michigan where salt is King.............

I have been trying out Fluid Film on my car and so far it seems like it will do good. I would use that on the truck. It will swell up soft rubber weather stripping though. So try and keep it off those type parts.

I bought a 2012 car in 2009. It was a very well taken care of car. It was rust free underneath so I decided to have it Z- barred. They check it yearly for free and so far no rust showing. I'm happy with the job. Yes the car came from MY State where they use a lot of salt.

It can be purchased in quart or gallon containers & it's also available in Bulk 15 gallon drums.
I use a quart container with a wand & air compressed & I've used my old paint gun..

Fluid Film works good for me .
Do it every year tho and get to the hard to get to parts.
Inside the doors, rockers, brake lines and connections, frame in side. cab corners, over the rear wheel openings etc.
