I am going to apply to Guiness World Records for the following feat. I have purchased Meatloaf's Bat Out of Hell album ten times(10), yes 10 times. I purchased it first in 8track version, then boiught a truck with cassette so purchase #2. Oldest daughter took it to a pary and lost it. Replaced it with #3. Second daughter took it to a party and someone stole all her tapes, purchased #4. Son had my Firebird out one night and said the tape caught in the player and by the time he pulled it out it was ruined, purchased #5. Bat out of Hell was in my truck and one night some little jerk went through my truck , took change, a utility knife and my Meatlof tape. I was in a music shop a few years later and they had a clearance and what do I see, Meatlof so I bought #6. Over the years it got misplaced and I had no idea where it went. Last summer we were at the cottage and we drove into the Port of Goderich to do some grocery shopping. We decided to go to Walmart and there in the music aisle was "Bat Out of Hell" so I bought it,Number 7 for those keeping score. When we got back to the cottage I said to my wife we should buy each of our kids that Meatloaf tape...thought it would be a Christmas gag gift,so the next morning I went back they only had two left so I took them..8 and 9th. I had my sister in law searching because I needed one more. One morning the phone rang and it was my daughter wondering if we could take my grandson to Stratford for an orthodontist apptm. After his appointment we went to walmart there and behold..NUMBER 10 Bat Out of Hell. Under the tree this morning are three Meatloaf tapes among thier other gifts...Guiness Record !!!!

Two outta 3 ain't bad but 10! One of my favorite albums. John Steinman and Todd rundgrun made it great!

Last year for Father's day my kids gave me two tickets to Meatloaf at the Budweiser Gardens in London Ontario. My wife and I went and we thoroughly enjoyed the show, Meatloaf heated it up and at 68 years old he did a fantastic job. He walks with considerable difficulty as he fell off a stage in Toronto doing a show and he broke his leg in 6 places, shattered bones, he has several pins plates and screws in his leg, still rocked the place out !

Meatloaf rocks, saw him in concert IIRC 5 times over the years. As far as purchases...as youngsters we wanted the 45 of Snoopy vs The Red Baron. We bought it 13 times, the record was scratched or something every time. Once when the cashier stapled the bag shut(remember those days?) she stapled through the record. We gave up.

First couple times I saw him was The Bat tour. For such a big man he had a great deal of energy whether it was natural or induced he still put on a great show for the time. Those videos sure look dated now.

Love Meat Loaf. Bought his record several times also. One of the greatest selling records of all time. Pretty hard to choose a favorite song. Liked them all but every few years gotta go back and feel For Crying Out Loud.

I've bought ZZ Tops First Album about as many times. I spent 7 years in the Navy and think I got a copy stolen every year. Had a few since then that didn't last once the kids started messing with them...
