I miss my late wife's fruit cake but then I don't have a boat any more and don't need an anchor. Ha, she'll get me for that.

The best I ever had were fruit cake cookies. I think the wife has the recipe around here somewhere -- will try to remember to ask.

As a kid, I thought that was the nastiest thing ever! As a senior citizen I can't stop eating one until it is gone......several large bakeries in Tx. specialize in fruit cakes & they are really, really good!

When I was on the paper route a few times at Christmas one was put out for me, They went straight into the garbage as no one wanted them.
