YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR

OK the Facebook garage sale sites don't cost anything, but the comments make you wonder if it's even worth the zero cost:
1) Oh if you weren't so far away
2) Oh if I only had the money
3) I (or Daddy) had one just like it
4) Trade for a thingamajig that just needs a little work?
5) What is your bottom price?
6) Are you crazy?

I rarely post anymore.

I?ve bought a lot of things on Facebook but I can?t stand the experts on there who always can buy it cheaper in better condition . Then there?s the people who?ve never farmed with anything but a toy tractor who are sure you?ll never pull such and such an implement with whatever tractor

Well remember that social media is just that, social interaction, if you sat down at the round table at the dinner and mentioned to the locals that you were selling your tractor you would get the same replies, Larry would say that's too much money, Frank would reminisce about the one grandpa had, Bob would say he wished he knew that yesterday cause he just bought one. And really the Facebook comments good or bad are helping to keep your post active and at the top of the list where more people see it which is the whole idea so why be upset about it!

Looky loos are nothing new !

I remember years ago I had someone looking at a certain model of JD I had for sale. Maybe a B model ? They were hem hawing around and mentioned What they really wanted to buy was a model LA !
Well I walked them over to the shed ,opened the door and said there you go I'll sell it ! Well that was just another story they sure changed their tune fast ! lol.

You have probably missed out on some good deals then. Most people no longer include their phone number in the ad. It just attracts all the scammers. I at least make someone email me their info. Scammers are sharp either way, but at least it tries to keep things on the level.

I don't have a Facebook account but online in general, CL and EBay and alll.....

Sure is funny how both sides of the transactions have so many problems, seems we humans just would rather scam each other than actually work together.

I don't look to buy such places much any more, with the attitudes sellers have. Seems they kinda deserve the buyers they get......

I don't do Facebook, although I did at one time.

When I was first elected to public office, the Director of our State Association of County Officials advised against Facebook or any other social media saying they were just too much of a mine field for anyone in the public eye. I took him at his word and cancelled my Facebook account. Can't say that I've missed it.

I been buying and selling for over 50 years and its always been the same just the medium is different, used to get some weird calls from newspaper ads,at least with CL I can weed out the obvious looneys from their emails.

After I saw all the craziness on Facebook, I gave it up a coupla years ago. I do not miss it at all.

I am with you wife has it and I looked at it. With me if your not going to buy it or go look at why make all the comments. She said they can disable them on some of it.

That's because a politician can't give an answer based on what he thinks the inquiring constituent wants to hear because all of his previous answers to the same question is there to read by all.

Local pol got into the news here, posted some things that were inappropriate. He isn?t going anywhere, but it gave his critics something to bixxx
about.

You are referring to internet "Trolls", They are people that just go around the internet commenting on things that mean nothing to them but think that they just have to say something so they can see themselves on the WWW.
If you ever watch any You tube videos check out the comments below. They are the same everywhere.

There are certainly negatives to anything including Craig's list, but many, many, many, people have gotten way, way, way, more than they paid for buying something from someone who doesn't know the value and just wants it gone.
