So I tried to pull the shaft out on that hyd cylinder I bent yesterday. It is suck good so good I broke a chain I had hooked to a tree to pull it out. I had the control also trying to push it out at the same time and it flat out will not move. So now I get to measure the one good cylinder and then see what a new one will cost and maybe just replace them both and be done with it since the catalog I have does not seem to have an exact match to what I have. Guess I need to call the surplus center and get a new catalog any how

Close's place is a good 75 miles one way from me. I figure In the long one 2 new ones will be better then trying to fix the bad on and or trying to match the good one

Old, try surpluscenter.com before you wait for a catalog. I needed a seat for the skid steer and found a decent fit onlne before I headed out there. I'm lucky SC is just a little over 100 miles from me.

(quoted from post at 14:00:01 12/16/17) do you have a cylinder repair company around. They could make a new ram for you.

Maybe. When they've been stuck as tight as the OP described I've always found that the gland is all galled up too. When that's the case it is almost always cheaper to replace the whole thing IME.

that is exactly what I did about three years ago. Had to remove the clevis type and drill the rod to accept a 5/8 pin I had trouble drilling and had a friend to drill it with his Bridgeport end mill. much easier than with a drill press to keep straight. Bought mine at Surplus Center too

Old try All States Ag Parts Lake Mills Ia. 855 530 9120. They will either have a used one or an after-market on available. Reasonable on pricing.
