JD 7000 serial number location

Where is the serial number located on a John Deere 7000 planter? Bought one this weekend and am looking for the tag.

It's riveted to the right hand bracket on the seed transmission drive assembly. The first 7000 I bought the tag had corroded right off so I never exactly knew when it was built. Yours may or may not be still on the planter.

Only the early ones had it riveted to the seed drive transmission. The later ones had the tag on top of the frame out by the marker on the LEFT side IRC could be right side.
