2 hole waterer

One below zero F this morning and the balls weren't even stuck. I had a 4 hole over there for a lot of years and on a morning like this, more than once I stood right up on top of it and stomped on the balls until my feet hurt, then I'd come and get hot water to pour on it to get them loose.

I had three rail road ties in the ground and just had a two sided wind break, but I took it out over the summer, put this 2 hole in with a lot more concrete and built this three sided shed over it. I think I'm gonna like this just fine.

Obviously I am not a farmer but you had me going for awhile I couldn't figure why anyone would want an outhouse with no door. But the balls weren't stuck? With no door that would be amazing LOL.

I could use three more. I run water to three tanks in and near the barn here on the south side. The ones in the two feedlots drink enough so I can put the floats on for them and they'll keep them going. It was around 20 yesterday during that storm and they were OK. The one way out back for the cows has to be filled four or five times a day if it's below 30 or so. I have all the pipes sloped with just a short piece of hose on each end. I hook them to a hydrant with a hose Y. All I have to do is unhook them, unhook the short hose to the float and they drain out.

Tuesday morning was a mess though. They had been rubbing on a pipe and broke a hanger in the corner, pushed it up so there was a low spot and it didn't drain right. I ended up wheeling the cutting torch out there to thaw that. Had to drag the hose through the manure, what a mess.

Watering stock sure Is no fun in the winter time I?ve had to take the weed burning torch and thaw lines before usually when it never gets above 30 below zero for about ten days straight

Well my creeks are still running pretty good for water, hope we don't get that white stuff for awhile my cows and goats are still grazing have been feeding the cows some hay.
