Local auctioneer passed away

I don't know if any of you guys here in Michigan knew this or not,I just saw it on the funeral home website. Mark Petersen from Trufant passed away day before yesterday. I knew he wasn't in good shape when he sold at the consignment sale in late September,but I didn't know he was that bad.

Such a shame...too young. Been to their sales. Whatcha doing scanning funeral home websites? Seeing who has equipment for sale or just looking for widders to comfort?

I check the obits every morning and if I'm not in them,I go out and do chores.

That's too bad. He was quite a character. Volunteered services for 4-H auctions many times. Think he ran fair and straight auctions. Had told my wife to use them if she needed to move our stuff. Guess it is too late now. Knew he wasn't doing well last times I had run into him. RIP Mark.

Ya,nothing against his brother Mike,but Mark was a lot more outgoing. He'd always single me out of the crowd and give me a hard time. Sure gonna miss him.
