Just came in from pumping fuel.30 gallons from the pickup tank into the 1456.50 gallons from the pickup tank into the overhead tank. All by hand pump.whew!that's 80 gallons. I would love to have a electric pump! But the wife says NO!. Says I needsome way to get my exercise. LOL

I still have to do some that way I bought the big gpi hand pump that moves 50 gallon per 100 strokes so it don?t take to long to move some fuel if your arm don?t fall off

You like that pump OK? Was thinking I wanted an electric pump until I found out how much they cost...

And the gripe I have with my current fuel pump is it only pumps about 10 gallons per 100 strokes, takes FOREVER to fill up the 8700...

I think the one I've got linked is what you're talking about, Northern's got them on sale for $149 with free shipping and a $20 gift card. And I found a $20 off $100 coupon online....

I know what you are saying Steve. When I was young in the early seventies, I thought that was the only reason I was born, at least through the summer..lol! Back then, in harvest we had JD 105 and a JD 95 combines that were gas, the 3 trucks, and some hay eqt that was all gas. I probably had muscles that looked like popeye. I don't think my Dad even knew how that thing worked..lol! I sure was glad when he got his first 12v pump. Bob

You probably left home before he bought the electric pump..He lost his 'slave'! LOL hear that a lot.

ask her to help next time. they are not much higher than the lever pump style, i don't get it buy one be done with it. i had to buy a fuel barrel back ended up getting 500 gal tank on deere running gear with electric battery powered pump and was about 1/2 full diesel 450.00. the one i sold was 500 gal tank with electric pump on it for 450.00 i bought it in early eighties for 300.00.thought i was done owning tractors guess not

When I got the F combine in '80 I had to carry gasoline up with 5 gallon cans. That was a workout, I was young tho! The F2 was a Diesel, that took only about 1/2 as many trips with those cans, ah!

Now I have a hand pump 50 gallon tank for the M3/ F3 combines. it does get to be work by the 240th pump, that's for sure, but lots better then those cans were! But they take a lopittle more fuel, and I have a few more acres, so I pump every other day....

Yes that?s the pump and I love it that thing will move some fuel and it has two settings so you can set it lower pump output if you want it?ll make a man out of you on the high output setting

Yeah, we had a hand pump in the well at the barn for the cows.

After my brother and I both left, a sump pump was installed.

And a riding mower was purchased.

And the hay got round baled instead of squares.
