I used to buy my lime by the truckload and spread with a tandem axle spreader. Since I cut back a few years ago, and the big tractor went down the road, I am back to using my 3 point Lely. The last time I used it the powdered lime was bridging over, so this time I got 80 lbs of pelletized lime to mix in with 750 lbs of powdered. I worked well. It all slid right out.
 
when I haul lime go through the mill and sprinkle #8 limestone on floor of trailer then load about 35 ton
of lime, makes dumping in field a lot easer it slides right out..put pelletized lime on rented ground about
two ton a ac for beans its cheep about 18.00 a ton....normally weight till ground needs two-three ton befor
I haul it in from limestone pit and spread it
 
I've been seeing ads on Craigslist for liquid lime. They claim it's many more times effective than powdered lime. What do you guys think?
 
Friend of mine sells the liquid stuff. He figured about $250 an acre to do my place. I figured maybe not.
