1)--Can I send a Private Message? If so, how.

2)--Why can't I edit my posts?--I always get the message that it is disabled at this time.

No private messaging on this forum but one can send/receive emails utilizing that feature on this forum without the necessity to know other persons email address.

Editing post on Modern view was enabled for a while then disabled due the old style Classic view not being able to utilize the edit function.

on't ever remember a time when PM worked and the editing feature went down a year or so back.

(quoted from post at 00:36:23 12/06/17) Edit before you hit 'submit' - duh.

Thanks for your useless answer.
You may not make mistakes, but some of us do.

In Classic view you can just back up to edit a post before you hit the submit it will say preview your reply at the bottom left of the page.

One can also preview one's post on Modern view before clicking on submit but that's still not the same as if poster could edit there post after clicking on submit.

I'm involved in another forum which will allow you to edit a post for about an hour and then it's permanent. They don't want you to come back changing or deleting the post you make because it makes the conversation hard to follow if people were changing it as you read it.

Just put reply to yourself saying correction and what it is supposed to say. Simple is it not.

That's what I have been doing.

Well,I'm on classic and I always go back and read my post to make sure I didn't screw up. If I miss something, I just reply to my post and call myself a dummy, not others.

I make many mistakes while typing....so I just "proof read" my message before sending....old style editing, maybe, but sure works good.
