got electric bill for rented farm #4 just barn no cows there this time of year, equipment in barn wife said it was $200.00 go check it out and man door was busted in, go inside turn lights on only a couple came on aginst side wall someone built a work bench out of pallets I had stacked in barn there was a lot of stainless tools mixers bowels measureing spoons scales little burners propain bottles 20# and 1# stuff in coffee cans, it all looked like a small cemestry set and a bunch of zip lock bags small to small for a sambich.. called youngest son he came over on gator, when he started down lang I heard a beep we didnt touch nothing , called a dep sherrif friend of mine he came over when he came down lane me and my son heard the beep again son and deputy went to gate and I told my son by phone when buzzer went off fifteen min later they found the eye up in a tree. they were comming in and out of back sliding door, riding four wheelers. we followed tracks through two other farms lost there tracks when we come to a hard top road....had no ideal anything was going on..sherrif dept took everything

Wow, glad you didn't catch somebody there that might've done physical harm to you! Hope you're able to catch and prosecute the a'holes. Da'n drugs are the reason for so much unemployment and theft. I've got a cousin whose son is in prison for drug issues of some sort. Got about two more years before he's out. Guess I'll have to start locking stuff up when that happens. Good luck, stay safe.

But if any other properties around there are vacant, best keep a watch. Might want to notify any other neighbors in the area to watch their property.

With no animals there, can you install a locking disconnect? I guess no lock will stop them, they will possibly show back up with a generator on their 4 wheeler if you have the power cut off. Sounds like a pretty sophisticated group with a driveway alarm and all, hopefully the sheriff pays special attention to that place for you for a while.

The electric meter reader went to read the meter in a vacant house in town a few years ago and found the meter box open and the meter bypassed. The whole house was filled with pot plants with grow lights on them.

Around here they would have taken measures to catch them on site.
That way they can seize all vehicles and whatever is in them as well as any cash in their pockets.
