My tractor has the prestolite distributor in it and it turns counter clockwise, I see where some electronic ignition are counter and some are clockwise, the ones I see that are counter clockwise are for a w9 and not for a 454,

Help me out here. Why would a electronic trigger care which way the input signal was spinning. As long as the firing order was correct on the cap it should be OK, right?

All I can think is the position it attaches to the breaker plate so the rotor is in position with the cap terminals when it fires.
