I just bought a 3020 that was supposed to have a severe lack of power and it did until I adjusted the injection pump timing to spec ran a good double dose of hot shot secrets injector cleaner through it and adjusted the valve lash to spec . Now you might not get as lucky becuse they injection pump timing isn?t adjustable as far I know on these

Party depends on the tiller. Those can run into some money depending on condition. Might be almost worth more than the tractor.

If the starter "won"t work"...covers up a whole lot of possible problems you can"t check out before buying. Makes for a cheaper offer, though.

Make sure it is not a"grey market" model (warning labels etc. will be in Japanese). Yanmar does NOT support parts for those, and many of the parts are not the same as North American market machines of the same model. Check the PTO as well as some Yanmar the PTO turns "backwards" like a Cub. We sold Yanmar (the lime green ones), and Woods mowers. Woods had special units for Yanmar for that reason (RM48YM, RM59YM etc.).

I do wish I had proof read this subject, hwlp?? I offered him $1000 for the tractor and tiller, Thanks for all the replys, And I will check to make sure its not a gray model,

At $1,000 you may be a little deep into it, but if it is toast between the tiller and other parts you should be pretty close to getting your money back so unless you drop a lot on it before pulling the plug you should be okay.
