Converted the LL147 John Deere into a semi mount hitch so I can drill grass seed later this fall

It?s a unit drill and the original hitch hooked two drills together 16 feet total width and that is way to wide to fit on my trailer so I wanted to narrow the two drills so I just had one 8 footer

The only problem I see with this is its going to be harder to maintain a consistent depth in uneven ground the original wheel was close and followed the ground this will make the drill come out of the ground when the front wheels of the tractor go into a hole and again when the back tires come over a high spot. One way to solve this would be to put some smaller wheels under close to where the original was it don't have to be a caster as long as you lift it up when you turn but can let the 3pt hitch down and float when going along straight. Otherwise it looks like you did a nice job making this conversion

That is a good idea the fields I?m drilling now are really flat so it shouldn?t be a problem but I will have to do some modifying if I need to drill some irregular fields
