it wont start but leaks fuel out of carb I can squirt a little gas in on cylinder then it starts and runs fine and will continue to start all day long but after it sits over night it wont start again without priming

Sounds like you're sucking air somewhere maybe? Bad manifold gasket or gasket where the carb bolts to the intake?

Sounds like you need to choke it more, unless you are keeping the choke closed the whole time. Gas running out the carb when it does not start is normal for updraft carburetors.

Pull the air cleaner tube off and hold your hand over the carb intake and try to start it. You should get a good suction and gas on your hand and it may even try to start. Low suction means a gasket leak of a poor engine

With the air cleaner tube off, pull the choke, see if it closes completely.

Could be out of adjustment.

Also, some choke plates have a spring loaded bypass valve. If it has that feature, be sure it is working.
Should be held closed with a weak spring.

Weak spark can also cause poor starting. Be sure everything is right, especially if it is still 6 volt.
Typical problems are worn starter bushings, too small (automotive type) battery cables, low/bad battery,
charging system not working as it should, or poorly tuned.
