"Build it bigger than you think you need, by half!"
(Ah....what does the old man know?!)
Now at a young 62, I can see what the "Old man" was thinking! Funny how auctions an "deals too good to pass up" can add to a list too big for thr space you have over 30 years time!
Built most myself, with help here and there from my sons and Amish friends in the area, so Ican hide all my treasures from the critical eye of the wife!

When was that next auction?!

Looks good. Better plan on putting one on the other side too.

When I built my 40 x 80, I thought there was no way I could ever fill it up. I was wrong.

You can clearly still walk right through - not even close to being full. Most of my sheds require one to precariously step from the top of one treasure to the top of the next. Things in the back will never see the light of day till some thing drastic happens .

I am wandering as I see many post about hiding things from Wives. What is it with guys giving the Wives this kind of control? I work for my money and would not want to ask my Wife if I could have something. I have been married for almost 35yrs. and hear this all the time from other guys what gives????????? Is that what they call Henpecked or what? Looking forward to replies.

Not about being henpecked, just the following misery of verbage on things I already know (ie;money that could have been used to improve the house, garage, not to mention her throw backs of...."thought you wanted to buy a dozer", you already have ONE, WHY do you need another)
Being married 41 years, SHE is the money manager of the family, and I worked to support my family.
Through the years she is the one that made sure bills were paid, trusts, stocks, retirement and future needs were met
Actually SHE was the one that told me to build the new section!
(She just hasn't seen ALL the "stuff" I have waiting in the treeline!)

The old theorem is that the junk you accumulate expands to fit the available space.

Henpecked, no, but you have to weigh how much you want/need it with how much you're willing hear about it.

So why should you have to justify if you have worked for it? I could see them complaining if you were sitting in a bar spending your paychecks. However I do know some guys who do that just to be able to tolerate what they hear at home. I have often wondered if these woman would put up with a man that told them what to do or buy. In todays world were Men seem to be regarded as the scum of the earth I often wonder were it will end. With all of the SJW's and boys being nutered at a young age it will be interesting. Maybe Brad Paisly is on to something.

I agree with MNoliverguy. My wife doe all the bills and manages the cash. She is also the first one to say if it is needed then go ahead. Been almost 15 years now with no fighting.
If she wants the roof on the house we put it on. I don't buy much and have not went to an auction since they paid more for a JD cylinder and hose with tips used than I could buy it new at the dealer for and had a warranty.
I will be building a newer building here in the next few years as finances allow. I could use a 100x200 very easily. Not sure I want one that big.
