I had Dad's S Case in the corner for a few years and decided to pull it outside and get it running. the 13.6 X 26 rear tires are dry rotted, cracked and low on tread. I found some 28.1X26 combine tires on craigslist cheap(Widening the rims would not be a problem), or do I spend the money and put the correct size tire on it? What would you do?

I would just find some smaller 26 inch combine tires. The 13.6 are hard but you can find 14.9s and they would fit the same rims.

Anything other than 13.6 will bulge and rub on the belt pulley. Not much clearance even with the 13.6 tires. Some cut the belt pulley down and put on bigger rubber.

Find the correct size, forget those oversize things. They are so much bigger diameter it would make it hard for the tractor to even pull itself but look very ugly

Just remember those combine tires will be about 2 1/2 feet taller than what is supposed to be on and with that height comes way larger diameter and way faster ground speed at same RPM, Would question if tractor would have enough power to turn them over in high gear. And there are thousands of those oversized big tires out there used. # big combine salveage yard within 50 mile of me.
