Just past Five am

I thought when it was dark outside that was the time for sleeping.

Clear 37 and 95% humidity in SE La.
Got our first light frost.
Does not look like a killing frost but the pickup is sure iced over. Going to be a beautiful week weather wise.

I milked cows for 20 years. I did not have any money then and I still don't have any money but I get two hours extra sleep. Not a bad thing.LOL Tom

Got up at 5am, tripped over the cat, got a drink of water, pet the dog, turned off the TV then laid back down on the couch.

Mid Morning? Bruce it is barely 7:30 here at the border. I have my grain buggy full of corn, about 14 tons, and a small truck load to go to the elevator company is 18 tons. The bin on my combine holds 4 tons and I could get that in less than an hour. The catch is that the arrival of the truck is very unreliable and my shed space is already taken up by the grain cart so if I load my combine bin I can not get it under cover if it rains or I should say, when it rains. I must say that this farming is the perfect stress free life.

I am awake every morning by 5:30 but I can not get to my PC before 7am or so because of the things that are going on at my home in the early morning. I never had any milk cows and never wanted any. I always look at your weather post because it seems to reflect the weather that I will be getting. Happy farming and sleep well.

That's why I never wanted to milk cows. I get to sleep in until 630. I feed the steers although they still had a little left overs from yesterday so nobody was too excited about coming to the feed bunk.

45 degrees here and misting a little rain. Its suppose to drop in temp. during the day to low 30's. Lower Mi. 50 miles North of Detroit.

Just got back from a trip out west to Washington and Oregon states and am still trying to recover from the time difference. Arrived here at 5 AM yesterday morning on a red eye from Portland and could not sleep much on the plane. But I did have a nice chat with RB in WA and Arelin in OR while I was there. We just got our dance card filled up with no time for any extras, but I sure would have liked to visit with guys from out there. Now I'm gonna have to look Dave in MI up because he scolded me for not seeing him here in MI when we live so close. Spook is close also, so maybe we can meet in Fowlerville at the Fowlerville Farms restaurant. There's a few other guys not too far away and maybe they'd like to be there also.

I spent another night at work over night, get paid for 30 hours of work by being there for 12 hours. VERY Thankful our company choses the day after Thanksgiving as a holiday.
Almost rode my motorcycle to work yesterday afternoon, was 48F when I left for work, and 45F as I headed home. Big Lake Michigan keeps us pretty stable over here on the West side.
Got a full 3.5 hours of sleep, family is on the way back here from a holiday trip to WI, so I had better get some manure hauled out of the barn so we can load up a couple wagons of hay for the neighbor's horses this afternoon. You guys keep distracting me from progress.

(quoted from post at 03:10:16 11/25/17) Cows are fed, gutters cleaned . Mild morning, 45F
with rain in the forecast for this morning. Get up !!
Your sleeping your life away , lol

All I have to say is better you than me LOL! I milked cows for 8 years before I headed off to college...helped out my brother a few times just to remind myself how much I dislike milking...
