Was thinking about things I'm Thankful for

I'm with you on that. I love my Sundays, but any other day of the week I about pull my hair out if I don't have something to keep me busy until supper time.

Thankful to survive the Nuns Fire in Sonoma County. Despite losing a lot, we saved the house and animals. We came out much better than many. Pray for my granddaughter who has bad dreams over this event.

Thankful for a wife that loves me.

If you've ever had a wife that didn't love you, then you know what I'm talking about.

i started working full time providing for myself and family at age 19, i retired at age 64 and throughout all that time i never missed a minute's pay, for that i am thankful. been blessed with a great family, two sons that are productive in their work and good health for myself, wife and family. God Bless America.

A friend of mine used to say:

"Woke up on the green side of the grass...

No bullet holes...

Not in jail...

Must be a pretty good day!"

I'm thankful to be born into a clean rural down home, less populated area in a FREE country. THANK YOU VETS! I am also thankful that now at later middle age Marilyn and I are healthy and are able to help those who don't have the good fortune of good health.

Or as Willy Nelson put it,I'm not cold,I'm not wet and I'm not hungry. Classify these as good times.

I saw a documentary about Willie in the early days.

He was struggling, couldn't get a break in the music industry.

Someone found him laying in the middle of the street one night, down in the snow.

They woke him up, asked what he was doing.

He said he had enough, was going to lay there waiting for a car to run over him!

Could have been alcohol involved.

The good health of our family, living comfortably, good friends, rural farm living, Surviving Nam while serving my great country, the grace of God, a good wife and kids/grandkid, and other things I'm sure that I can't think to add to the list. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Bill

I'm thankful for my family, wire, kids, and grandkids. But this year I'm especially thankful for my new job that so far is much better than what I was doing.

I once asked a friend how he enjoyed being retired. " Busier than ever." he relied. "Get up in the morning with nothing to do and only half done at the end of the day"
Ben

I'm thankful that I'm still above ground and healthy and that Jesus gave me the opportunity to live forever and all I have to do is repent of my sins and believe.

Well said!

1 Thessalonians 5:16-19

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God?s will for you in Christ Jesus.

19 Do not quench the Spirit.

Thankful for my families. I have an amazing family and church family. Have a great job that provides for our needs and some wants. Rural living with good neighbors. Good health

I have a lot to be thankful for. Mostly my mobility. At seventy Iam able to do my mile and a half daily fast walk and sometimes get on my bike for a few more.

Thankful to have work that I enjoy.

However, that being said, I'd sure be willing to
give that 'never getting a day off' a whirl. LOL

James. I know about that. My first wife broke me but my second wife made me. Sadly I lost her to a brain tumor after 48 years and miss her every day.

I'll be 83 next month and I thank the Lord every day for enduring health and cognitive abilities that allow me to function now basically the same as I did 30 or 40 years ago. Considering the trauma and misery I've put this old body through over the years it's a wonder it hasn't rebelled at some point, but so far, so good.
