Does anyone live near Noel, MO?

I live near where Garrett Piaz of the Noel Fire Department died fighting the Nuns Fire. It appears from the station's facebook page, these were all volunteers and they paid their way our here. The site mentions air fare, hotels, rentals, food, etc.
 
I'm about an hour from Noel. I understand they have a volunteer fire department. Population of Noel is less than 2000.
 
It is a beautiful little town in the southwest corner of our state. Lots of disabled Vietnam era veterans there, it's kind of a good place for them to heal.
 
They are indeed special people to pay out of their own pockets to fight and die in this terrible fire. Garrett Piaz lost control of a water tanker on the insanely dangerous Oakville Grade, a road I loathe driving in the best of conditions. In heavy smoke, it obviously was very dangerous. He died about two miles from me.

May God bless him, his family, the town of Noel and their fire department. We can never repay the debt. He will never be forgotten in this county as he is forever our hero.
