Pulled the engine on the old green bean I traded for
a couple of years ago, the old 360 was getting tired.
I?ve reworked all the brakes, put new door seals and
window felts, new seat cover. So I thought I might
as well freshen the 2 quart every 150 miles engine
lol. I did use the 4520 to pull the engine, so not off
topic lol!

Find a 390 crank and it will be a 390... I have a good 360 took the heads off and put them on a early 390 short block I built to replace the 360... If I were not so cheap and thru about 2K more at it it would have been a 410.

Show me a 352/360/390 and I will show you an oil leak. If your gasket set has 2 cork strips to go between the intake manifold and the block at the front and back of the engine throw them away. Use a generous bead of silicone sealer instead. That's what worked best for me.

I have a 1971 F 100 that will get fixed that way when I get around to it. I got it from an older gentleman who bought it new. It has around 90,000 miles on it.

I have one of those too, it?s hiding on the other side
of the 4520. 1991 3/4 ton with the 5.9 Cummins 5
spd, unfortunately it?s tired too, it lacks oil pressure
when it?s warmed up.

I had a 1970 Ford 1/2 T. With a 360.....Wasn't anything to brag about until I changed the advance springs in the distributor to some "Mr. Rocket" springs......This made a lot of difference...woke the thing up a lot, then I changed the intake manifold and carburetor to a 4 barrel from a 390 and really got some power out of the 360....and decent mileage too, depending on how I drove it.....it had the old 3 speed overdrive tranny.
