Bait boxes....

Didn't want to hi-jack Glennsters post below but they were showing pictures of plastic bait boxes. My shed has a 24 ft. end door that has a gap under it and I used to buy those plastic boxes but they would come up missing. I am sure it was critters crawling under the door and carrying them off. I would put cement blocks on top and other things but it didn't help. I sure am not a carpenter but I took some scrap wood and made my own. Put a eyebolt in the side and a short chain with a snap and pounded a big staple in the post in the shed and so far the problem is solved. Re-filled them yesterday and something even bent one of the staples. HOME MADE AND HANDY!---Tee

That's half the key puitting it on the pegs than they'll actually eat it. Otherwise they drag the whole blocks to their nest and save it for a rainy day.

I bought just one of those plastic bait stations. Giving it a try. Got it anchored down so it SHOULD stay put.

I like your idea of building them from scrap lumber, but I'd need to dig DEEP in my salvage lumber pile to find something that isn't just scrap.

Are there any bait boxes available where the rodent cannot get out so that the remains can be disposed of more conveniently than having a rotting smell in the shop?
