Allis-Chalmersless

There has been at least one Allis-Chalmers tractor on this farm since 1940. Dad farmed with a model B, then a WD, added a WD-45; I had a series I, a series III and a series IV D 17, two 170s and a 175. I sold the last one recently and now realize a 77 year
tradition has been severed. I'd like to buy a new AC tractor.

The last time I was chalmerless was 15 years ago...then relapsed! Now I have 90+ again, 2 more to go pick up next week. I don't care what they say, the Orange has been good to me over the years!

I recently had and mistakenly sold a good 175 with AC 500 loader. Should have kept that one!

I did the same last spring....now I am down to six 175 diesels...my fave! Sometimes you have to thin the herd.

Hey Eldon... Just to clarify... You had no
Allis's 15 years ago... And now you have 90
of them??? An average of 6 per year? To me
that is incredible!

Actually more than that, as I have also sold quite a few during that time....and I probably have that many AC implements as well.

Its been over 50 years since I didn't own an A-C tractor bought an old WC when I was 15 for 100$,have other brands but like my A-C tractors.Putting a D10 together now.

I have 5 of those Allice chambers tractors in one of my barns. They are all the same model though. They are those little ones with the engine in the rear. Model "G" as I recall. They do run and could be put to work if one was so inclined. I have a variety of attachments for them including cycle bar mower, front dozer blade, plows and cultivators. I do not know why I have them as I just picked them up over the years until I had a herd of orange things in my way.
