You nailed it!!!! With more light and closer inspection I discovered that the retracting spring had been put in backwards!!! Instead of placing it so the coils faced inwards, due to the angle of the hook ends, the coils were projected outwards and rubbing the head of the lug bolts. No more noise. Thanks again.
 
Gotta love a simple solution. So many times our minds want to JUMP to the extreme, toughest, most problematic fix. This is why this forum is so valuable to me. gobble
 
Glad you figured it out, at low speed figured it had to be somewhat contacting the brake hardware, I have seen worn hubs sit in so far they rubbed but sounds like in your case spring placement solved it
