Pix.The last of the wood.

My Son cut the last of the wood and brought it up to the house for splitting, stacking, which will be tomorrows endeavor.rain in the for cast followed by rain mixed with the white stuff.I sure hope it holds off till we get it all done.Ordered felling bar for the 046 so the part will be in 2 days from today. The Stihl is over 15 years and going strong as ever.Years back son used wrong gas and it ,scored the cylinder head. Took it to Rice Lake to J.Deer for estimate. They gave me a $500.00 cost to repair and said the saw wasn't worth it.Went to stihl dealer ordered new head, rings & piston, less then $75.00 for parts including gaskets.Saved the original head just in case.Thinking of doing it again with a bigger head to make it an 066. Love the saw.Now the wood is here, time to get at it before cold and snow hits us.
Regards Lou& Victor.

Great looking stuff! Stihls are good saws. We still run our old 034,not overly powerful but gets the job done. I got to run a friends 044 a few weeks ago and it's a beast.

Is your wood pile under your deck? I don't mean to chastise but if it is, that's not the best idea. I'm here in CA where we just had the fires. People who had wood piles within 50 feet of their homes lost them if the wood piles caught. Be careful. Sorry If I seem harsh, but it's a touchy subject. Lots of pain in my county. Stay safe.

Have a pile to split about the size of yours. Since I have a pacemaker the Docs tell me that I shouldn't run the chainsaw anymore. Have a good neighbor who does all the sawing and I help with the hauling. I do the splitting with my 27 ton splitter.

Next trip to the woods will be to haul some GOOD wood home for him. He wants something that will burn throughout the night. He usually cuts Box elder. He has been using my good Steihl saws. He is a Johnsrod man. Sure is fun teasing him while he is cutting with my saws.

Glad that you are getting near the end. It is always a good feeling to be done.
Hope all the family health woos get cured this winter, and you take care of yourself also.
Best wishes, Loren
