How much fluid and what type goes this loader? The model #4WF4.The plate says Wagner Ironworks.

The decision depends on the hydraulic pump. If it is a pump that is built into the tractor, use the hydraulic oil currently specified for that tractor. If it has a bunch of oil in it already, I would drain it and refill with tractor spec oil. If the pump is PTO driven and came with it, I would use universal tractor fluid from a farm store. Jim

Those typically have a front mounted pump with the small shaft to the engine crankshaft pulley and loader frame used as the hydraulic oil reservoir. UTF is okay for these pumps, I ran my ford 850 model tractor with a wagner loader and front mount pump for 14 years approximately 50 hours a year with UTF, changing it a few times over that period of time.
