I think the beans are plenty dry.

Took these pics from my back yard of the neighbor combining across the valley. He was a bit over a mile away, so maxed out the zoom on my Cannon Power Shot camera.
The uncles on the home farm finished the bean harvest about 11:00 this morning also.
We are supposed to have one more warmer than average day tomorrow, with rain setting in tomorrow night thru Tuesday night, and then more seasonable temps and weather after that.
We had one heck of a long warm "Indian Summer" for the last 10 days.

Those are great pictures! It's been extra dry and warm here this fall too, crops came off in almost record time all around. Sure makes it nice when you can harvest every day till your finished no getting stuck or all the likes.

We finished soybeans yesterday. Ran part of my field of sunflowers before realizing I was wasting time and fuel, the birds ate EVERYTHING. So I disked them down and went to ripping. JD Seller was right, the ground is HARD this year after the long dry spell. We got 3" of rain last week, which kept the dust down a little, but made it wet again in the low places I was planning on ripping this fall before the rains started. I guess the rain won. We started corn today, at 14% moisture, so we're good with that.

Finished my beans Saturday. They ran 60bushels per acre where I didn't have Marestail and 20 where it was worst. Overal ran 40 Bushels so I'm not as unhappy as I was looking at the darn Marestsail all summer. Now if I can get some wheat planted.

You must have got more rain than we did here north of St. Johns. Without rain for 3 months didn't help anything. Plants looked good at first, then never grew any more. Beans like BB's. Been averaging about 50-60 bushel/acre last few years. I haven't talked to dad yet about the final tally, but I'll bet it's 25-30 bpa this year. Pretty poor crop. At least the corn "looks" ok...
